The amended development application went on exhibition from October 17 to 30.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council will extend the submission period until Friday, November 8 for people who have contacted the council and not had the opportunity to make a submission.
The development, including nine cinemas, is earmarked for land on the corner of Park and Warlters streets in Port Macquarie near Kmart.
The council required some amendments after completing an initial assessment of the development application.
Amended plans and supporting information were received.
The proposal includes nine cinemas, food and drink premises, gymnasium, fun fair indoor recreation facility and other retail uses.
The nautical themed-style building would span four levels excluding the basement.
Planet Warriewood/United Cinemas, a chain of cinemas owned and operated by the Mustaca family, is behind the proposed development.
The council received a petition with 3000 signatories objecting to the proposal and 200 submissions when the original development application went on exhibition.
Submissions to both the initial development application and amended plans will be considered during the assessment process.
A detailed assessment will follow the exhibition period with the Northern Regional Planning Panel to determine the application.
