EXTRA resources from across the state have been sent to the Hastings to provide support for local fire crews who are hitting a wall of fatigue after five days on the fire front.
Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams has praised the united effort of all agencies in working together to ensure not one home, or life, has been lost to date.
Mrs Williams, who lives in Lake Cathie and was forced to enact her bushfire plan on Tuesday when conditions dramatically worsened, said it was critical for everyone to let fire crews get in and get the job done.
"They had some huge challenges but they have a lot of challenges ahead.
"I think all of us can thank them so much for the incredible work they are doing. We have firefighters here from right across the state doing an amazing job.
"They are doing every single thing possible and are very strategic in their approach."
Mrs Williams said it was made clear in the height of the blaze on Tuesday how quickly things can change and the importance of having a bushfire plan and being prepared.
"Incredibly we have lost no property - not even a back fence," she said.
"When you think about how close the fire has been to local residents it's really incredible the job they have done.
"The determination and courage, not only of our RFS volunteers - but the whole range of people working together, Fire and Rescue, SES, NPWS - it's a united and concerted effort."
"We are strengthening containment lines ahead of stronger winds and higher temperatures later in the week," Mr Robb said.
"It makes things difficult for firefighters and aircraft when the winds pick up because it's very fast moving. We've had couple of successful days and have been able to ensure that no properties or life were lost.
"We've had some strike teams from other districts arrive over the past few days to assist. Local fire crews are starting to fatigue."
It is imperative every resident has a bushfire plan in place, Mr Robb said.
"Review your bushfire survival plan. Ensure you have a conversation with family as to what you'd do if fire impacts your property."
