A Port Macquarie man who pleaded guilty to stalking his ex-partner will spend at least nine months in jail.

The man, aged 47 years, also fronted Port Macquarie Local Court on October 16 charged with possession of a prohibited drug and contravening an apprehended violence order.
He appeared before magistrate Price.
Court documents show that an interim AVO was served on the man on February 6, 2019, however the accused continued to phone and text the victim, sometimes hundreds of times each day
The man also attended the home of the victim on two occasions every evening.
Magistrate Price sentenced the man to an aggregate jail term of 18 months which commenced on August 16,2019 and expires on February 15, 2021.
The magistrate set a non-parole period of nine months which will expire on May 15, 2020.
