With last week's opening round a wash out in many cases, this weekend will be the first time some players - and teams - have taken to the pitch.
In first grade, three games will be played on turf with local grounds staff providing an outstanding job preparing these wickets after the football season.
At Andrews Park a strong Beechwood team relishing 1st Grade, will oppose the Pirates in a tough, local inter-town rivalry game.
Laurieton Oval has another derby, this time Bonny Hills-Lake Cathie playing Comboyne-Kendall.

Second grade
In second grade there will be four games to be decided - Tuffins Lane, Sancrox Reserve, Beechwood and Wood Street.
The Pirates two teams - the Mutineers and the Buccaneers - competing for club bragging rights at Tuffins. A "sledgers" dream game...
Wauchope also has two teams in 2nds, Red and Blue. Red oppose Bonny Hills-Lake Cathie and Blue are at Beechwood.
Macquarie will confront Magpies at Wood Street.
Third grade
Third grade is considered the Magpies grade with the club fielding three of the six teams in this competition.
Wauchope looked strong last week and Pirates, at Landrigan, will have to be good.
At Tuffins the Strikers take on Macquaire alongside the Swoopers and the Scavengers.
In the opening round, three batsmen notched half centuries - congratulations to Macquarie first grader Tyson Scmidt who hit 60; second grade Pirates player Jamie Byrnes with a 66 not out while Magpies' Lachlan Woods hit a fine 62 not out.
Despite last weekend's rain most matches started and the Pirates were 4/48 playing Magpies at Oxley Oval when the rain came and finished the day with a draw.
Macquarie 134 drew with Comboyne-Kendall 1/13.
Two teams had a bye, Beechwood and Bonny Hills-Lake Cathie due to Wauchope withdrawing.
In second grade Pirates 1/117 defeated Magpies 4/139 on run rate; Bonny Hills-Lake Cathie 6/146 defeated Beechwood 66; Comboyne-Kendall 5/118 drew with Pirates Mutineers.while Macquarie 4/51 drew with Wauchope Red.
In third grade Macquarie 1/52 defeated Pirates 47; Wauchope 4/134 drew with Magpie Swoopers; Magpie Scavengers 7/187 Magpie Strikers 9/135.
