Weatherzone meteorologist Joel Pippard said over the past 48 hours, up until 9am on Sunday, October 13, Port Macquarie has received 26mm of rain.
Mr Pippard said it's a good amount of rain for this time of year, given it's been so dry.
On October 1 Port Macquarie received 16mm, bringing the month's total up to 42mm.
Mr Pippard said the month's total so far is still only half of the average amount.
"However we're still only halfway through the month," he said.
Mr Pippard said there are storms predicted to impact the area over the next fortnight.
The best chance of a storm is on Thursday, October 17 which might bring some rain to the region.
"Of course storms are patchy so it's not guaranteed," he said.
In June Port Macquarie received 72mm over three days, which Mr Pippard said was the last decent amount of rainfall for 2019.
