This year's event continued the tradition of raising funds for the Hastings Cancer Trust and their efforts didn't disappoint with $1500 raised to support the Trust's aim to enhance the quality of cancer care in our region.
The partnership between the Women's Club and Hastings Cancer Trust began in 2011.
Women's Bowls Club president Di Parry presented the funds to Hastings Cancer Trust's Steve Thomas.
Mrs Parry said the club has donated $16,825 to the trust since 2011.
"This money stays local and we know that some of our members have directly benefited from the money given for specialist equipment or services donated by the Trust," she said.
"Our club's generosity over the past 12 months has encompassed other donations including $335 to the NSW Cancer Council raised at our Biggest Morning Tea event, and $500 each donated to Sailability and Riding for the Disabled.
"This demonstrates the community spirit amongst our members and those who support our fundraising events, we should feel very proud." Mrs Parry said.

Mr Thomas outlined the trust's operations and how their grants have an impact on services in the Hastings, Macleay and Camden Haven areas.
"Our programs continue to support the treatment for locals, locally," he said.
"The grants help to bridge the gap in government funding to ensure that our region is able to provide the most up to date treatment of various cancers locally instead of patients having to travel to a capital city."
New grants from the Hastings Cancer Trust will be announced on November 14.
The Trust has funded couches for Rotary Lodge at the Base Hospital, covered rental costs for the Port Macquarie Breast Cancer Support Group, and co-funded a portable bedside ultrasound device for the Cancer Treatment ward at Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
The Westport Women's Bowling Club is always looking to welcome new players and these fundraising events are a wonderful introduction to the fun and friendship lawn bowls provides.
