More than 100 current and retired fiery bowlers will be hitting the coastal greens of Port City Bowling Club over five days from Tuesday October 15.
Fire and Rescue social bowls club NSW president Steve Schreiber said there is an enormous amount of bowling talent within the Fire and Rescue ranks.
"It's open to all firefighters both permanent and retained across the state, those retired from the job and their families," he said.
"There are people from far and wide in Sydney, Newcastle, South Coast and Wollongong.
"It's a terrific way for everyone to catch up every year. If you're playing in the final matches of each day you're playing in front of a hundred of your friends, that's a good thing.
"In the past it has been held at Salamander Bay and Barilla. It's a very big thing to organise and the idea is to spread it around the state where possible.
"Quite possibly we will be looking to re-negotiate for Port Macquarie again for a couple more years after next year."
Players will take part in singles, pairs, triples and fours events across the competition including a fancy dress charity day on October 19 to raise funds for charity.
The event was initially raising money for White Ribbon but will now contribute towards support centres for Hastings families affected by domestic violence.
Port Macquarie station officer Derek Alford, who will be putting his social bowls skills to the test said this is the second of three years the titles will be held in Port Macquarie, followed by the Australasian Titles.
Port Macquarie station officer Derek Alford, who will be putting his social bowling skills to the test said this is the second of three years the titles will be held in Port Macquarie.
"We do it every year but at a different locations," he said.
"Last year it was held here and it was a success, next year we will host it here for the Australasian Titles with teams from across Australia and New Zealand.
"It's great for the town and good for bowling clubs, it's great for tourism in the area.
"There will be firefighters who have represented Australia in Fire and Rescue NSW, the depth of talent is extraordinary."
