I agree with Chay Khamsone's letter. About eight years ago I attended an information night with the Climate Change Council at Port Macquarie Panthers, where scientists forecast more extreme weather conditions, more bushfires and rising sea levels.

All their forecasts have been proved accurate and their advice has been ignored.
When my husband and I decided to invest in solar panels and a battery, every business we asked to quote, bitterly complained about the lack of government encouragement for solar energy.
Concern for our earth should not be labelled in negative terms. We should be thinking of our children's futures. Our politicians are not thinking beyond their next term in office.
