St Joseph's Primary School Kempsey is through to the state finals of the Todd Woodbridge Cup in Sydney after taking out the regional finals of the competition at Kendall Tennis Club.

Kendall hosted five schools on Friday, September 20 including Kendall Public School, Port Macquarie Public School, St Joseph's Primary School Laurieton, St Joseph's Primary School Kempsey and Karangi Public School.
St Joseph's Primary School Kempsey narrowly won the final against Kendall Public School. St Joseph's Primary School Laurieton came third and Port Macquarie Public School came fourth.
Kendall Tennis Club president Wendy Hudson thanked Charles Sturt University for funding, which meant the schools didn't pay anything for the event.
Children were encouraged to keep track of their own games by taking note of the points, with assistance from parent helpers and club members.
Students shook hands and introduced themselves to others before the matches got underway.
The Todd Woodbridge Cup state finals will be hosted at Sydney in November.
In August Kendall Tennis Club hosted the zone trials, where over 96 tennis players from years three and four came from Kempsey in the north to Coopernook in the south.
