Coordinator Susan Ashton said the conference included several well-respected presenters.
She said the conference took 12 months to organise.
The conference featured a weekend of learning and self development including a focus on self-care.
Healing Touch is an energy based therapy, a holistic approach to healing.
Having it's roots in nursing, the training is suitably structured to have application in mainstream health care, and is offered to patients in Port Macquarie Base Hospital and Wauchope District Memorial Hospital as an adjunct to patient care.
Guests were inspired by world class presenters including renowned author and motivational speaker Catherine De Vrye.
Former Australian executive woman of the year, Ms De Vrye incorporated real life anecdotal stories as diverse as trekking to Timbuktu and climbing beyond Everest Base Camp to emphasise 'Resilience during Adversity'.
She shared personal accounts of interactions with various world leaders and her experience carrying the Olympic Torch in Sydney in year 2000.
Well respected American breast surgeon and author Dr Beth Dupree spoke about how she embraces Eastern-healing philosophies, whilst remaining on the cutting edge of western medical technologies.
Her specialised work is well respected worldwide.
Other conference speakers included local professionals Dr. Warwick Hain, Anjikurri Rhonda Radley, Lisa Willows, Di Bannister, Dr Simon Mervyn-Jones; Dr Rosalie Van Aken (Perth,WA)
Betty Green from Kempsey received the honour of life membership.
Australian Foundation for Healing Touch hold this national conference annually at various locations around the country including Ballarat in 2018 while next year's conference is in Gladstone, Queensland.
