If you have a favourite band or rock star and don't mind dressing up, then Port Macquarie's Alyssa Donchi wants you to come to JB Hi-Fi on Saturday.
Alyssa is one of four winners of an Australia-wide art competition organised by the electronics retailer to raise much-needed funds for the not-for-profit organisation The Song Room.
All funds raised selling Alyssa's art design will be donated to Australia-wide cause.
The Song Room is a national organisation that brightens the futures of Australia's most disadvantaged children with tailored, high-quality music and arts programs, delivered in partnership with schools across the country.
Programs are independently proven to lift the academic performance, school attendance, social-emotional well-being and community involvement of Australian school children.
The Song Room vision is that all Australian children have the opportunity to participate in music and the arts to enhance their education, personal development and community involvement, giving them the best possible start in life.
Alyssa has been drawing since pre-school and hopes to eventually make a career as an animator.
She said the award-winning character is amongst her first drawings.
"This character has evolved over the years," Alyssa said.
"I now have a whole set of characters that I have been drawing for many years.
"I am pretty serious about drawing and want to attend art school to obtain a degree and then overseas to Japan and become involved in animation.
"Part of my interest in in animation. I really enjoy it," she said.
Alyssa's artwork was one of four chosen from across Australia. She is looking forward to raising money for The Song Room.
Alyssa will be available to sign purchased artwork between 10am and 2pm on Saturday September 21. But she wants as many people as possible to come dressed as their favourite band member or rock star.
