Volunteers came together on September 18 to ensure they are ready for business as usual when crew members return on September 25.
Moira McGrath said the volunteers were all glad to be back on the water.
"We are all keen to get back out on the water and bring a smile to those who would not otherwise have a chance to sail," Ms McGrath said.
"We have new volunteers joining our ranks this season and we have had our training day to ensure everything is ready to go for next week."
Ms McGrath said it has been a busy winter period for the group who hosted the state Sailability conference back in August.
"That conference was a big achievement for us and we were proud to show all the work we are doing to other Sailability volunteers across the state," she said.
"We also had the opportunity to train up some more of our members in the recovery boat team so that we have a larger pool of qualified volunteers for that role.
"All in all we are all very glad to be back out on the water."
