Use a mixture of Dynamic lifter or Blood & Bone (if your neighbour's noses are sensitive) and Potash.
Potassium (Potash) helps the plants flower and fruit and if the plant cannot get enough from the soil it will take it from the leaves, causing them to yellow.
Some plants will also require Lime or Dolomite to lower the soils PH and help the roots take up nutrients.
Some of these plants are fruit trees, gardenias and annuals.
Plants like natives, azaleas and berry plants do not require this so make sure you miss them.
Now is also a great time to re-pot outdoor and indoor plants, be sure to give them a good drink of seaweed tonic to help relieve stress on their roots.
Veggie Patch
Now is the time that all the nasty insects start to feed on your vegetables so you will need to be vigilant to stop them from getting out of control.
Use low chemical sprays such as Pyrethrum to control them weekly and only spray you plants in the early morning or late evening as most sprays contain oils that will fry the plant if used in the heat of the day.
Slugs and snails are also on the move now so don't forget to manage them as well. Be sure to mulch your garden beds to retain moisture.
Lawns
Lawns can handle a lot of dry spells and will usually come back after some good rain.
If your lawn is starting to dry in large patches, that is the area you should focus on if you feel the need to water.
