The event is a fundraiser for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

The cyclists started their epic ride on Saturday from Coffs Harbour and are expected to arrive in Tamworth on Friday, September 20.

The group will enjoy riding into Port Macquarie before continuing to Wauchope for an overnight stop.

Organiser Tamara Ferguson says the riders were enjoying a rest day in South West Rocks on Monday.

"They deserved the break after riding two 100 kilometre days in a row," she said.

"The riders are working really hard and I would encourage residents to get out and show their support for their efforts.

"There will be a community dinner in Port Macquarie and Wauchope on Tuesday evening.

"All funds raised during this event will ensure that nobody ever has to pay to be assisted by the rescue helicopter service," she said.

The riders have so far raised around $58,000.

CEO Richard Jones said the continued success of the ride is testament to the dedication of the volunteers and participants that make it possible.

"Each year we are blown away by the commitment these riders and support crew make to the service by participating in the Alive and Well on Farms Ride for the Chopper," he said.

Ms Ferguson urged the Port Macquarie and Wauchope communities to "come out and support the riders and their good work."

"The riders are working really hard and they are doing a great job," she said.

"Some are return riders while there are also some new riders participating in this ride.

"Every rider and member of the support crew have donated their time for this including two paramedics, the cooks, the lead car drivers," she said.
