The students, along with teachers, are spearheading the organising of the school's inaugural spring fair. The event is from 10am until 2pm on Sunday September 22.
The number of stall holders has already reached its limit while there will also be five children's rides activities, art show, garage sale site and individual stall holders. A planned car wash has been cancelled due to the drought conditions.
Students are making bath bombs, toilet fizzers and dish washing tablets to sell at the fair.
All funds raised from the event will be used to offset the costs of a playground for the pre-kindy students at the school.
There is a $30,000 target.
One of the student leaders, Lola Willows, said she was enjoying getting involved in making some of the items that will be offered for sale at the spring fair.
"I enjoy making the bath bombs because I don't always get to use some of the ingredients at home," she said.
"So we get to experience different things and make products to sell in the classroom.
"I also plan to have my own stall - featuring my sewing - at the fair. So I hope to enjoy a good day and to also raise money for the school.
"It is going to be a fun day for everyone," she said.
Lewis Eddenmoore was also excited about the prospects of raising funds for the pre-kindy students.
"You can't always make these kinds of things at home. I didn't even know about citric acid and what it does until today," he said.
"The bath bombs are made from bicarb soda, citric acid, cornflower and Epsom salts.
"And hopefully we get to make some other things to sell at the fair too," he said.
The pair said their teachers were very involved in helping the students make "cool things" for the fair.
They were both looking forward to enjoying some fun and games on the day.
The Port Macquarie Adventist School spring fair is on Sunday September 22, 10am until 2pm.
