Blake James Studders, 23, of Lindfield Park Road, will have his application heard in the Port Macquarie Local Court on September 18.
His current bail conditions include surrendering his passport, not to actively communicate directly or indirectly with any person under 16 years of age other than immediate family members.
Studders is charged with using a carriage service to transmit indecent communication with a person under 16 years of age. The charge relates to an incident that allegedly occurred between March and April 2019.
The matter was heard in the registrar's court on Thursday, September 11. Studders was represented by Mr McKenzie.
Strike Force Trawler is an ongoing investigation by the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad's Child Exploitation Internet Unit into the sexual abuse and exploitation of children facilitated through the internet and related telecommunications devices.
Regular covert online investigations are conducted by the CEIU; and police in NSW work closely with their law-enforcement colleagues interstate and overseas.
Studders' case is next listed for the Port Macquarie Local Court on November 13.
