Port Macquarie will gather to remember sacrifices made by Australian soldiers as well as the civilian casualties from the September 11 attacks in America.

The annual memorial service acknowledges the efforts of Australian soldiers in the Afghanistan war.
It commemorates the deaths of more than 2990 people killed when hijacked civilian airliners were used to destroy the World Trade Centre in New York in 2001.
Port Macquarie RSL Sub-branch president Greg Laird said people can pay their respects at the Port Macquarie cenotaph from 11am on Wednesday.
"We have Vietnam Veterans Day, we have Remembrance Day and it's important for these young men and women to have their service in the limelight," he said.
"I think they should be remembered for what they did over there (in the Middle East).
"It's important for these young people to have a day where they can get together and remember their time, because the war on terror basically started on September 11.
"It's a pretty big day for them and many I reckon knew they were about to go to war (when the attacked occurred)."
Daughter of Afghanistan war veteran, Tahlie Palmer, will speak at the event this year. There will also be a wreath laying service, padre address, playing of The Last Post, Ode and Reveille.
"The ceremony is only about five years young and it builds every year," said Mr Laird.
"We started off with about 15 people in attendance and last year we had about 60 or 70 people attend."
During the service people are welcome to pay tribute and leave their own floral wreaths.
