Monsters, superheroes and fairies were staples at the tacking Point Public School's 2019 Book Week parade on September 4.

Students across all year levels had a great time dressing up in their favourite book character to parade around and showcase their costumes to watching students and parents.
Teachers also got into the Book Week spirit with Stage 3 teachers dressing as the The Incredibles, Stage 2 came as the Hogwarts teaching staff and Stage 1 and Kinder were the complete cast from Alice in Wonderland, including blue caterpillar.
Tacking Point Public School librarian Leanne Horan said it was a great day had by all.
"The Book Parade is an iconic rite of passage of an Aussie childhood," Ms Horan said.
"We the staff and students thoroughly appreciate our parents and families who spend so much time, effort and energy in preparing the costumes for our children.
"The delight and fun is palpable."
