Volunteers raised funds for animals in need by selling cakes, slices and biscuits outside Bunnings Port Macquarie from 9am on Monday, August 19.
Port Macquarie RSPCA fundraising officer and vice-president Carolyn Smith said many of the cakes were made by RSPCA Op Shop volunteers for the annual event.
"This is the first year we have held these at Bunnings and they have really supported us," said Miss Smith.
"The last cupcake day we raised $1800 in total which is very good.
"This is the first year we have made doggy biscuits, big cakes and gluten-free cupcakes."

RSPCA volunteer Ann Hodis said the RSPCA received limited government funding and is staffed by volunteers.
"We're raising money for the RSPCA shelter here in Port," she said.
"We don't get any government funding for looking after the animals and there are so many animals who are abandoned.
"There is a very low euthanasia record here and they re-home most of the animals because we've got really good support from our local community."
