Venue manager Pam Milne said the Glasshouse was delighted to be partnering with Percival Property to celebrate the Glasshouse's 10th birthday with an open house.
She said the day is an opportunity for the community to access a variety of Glasshouse experiences from exhibitions to workshops, performances and even a jumping castle in the foyer.
"This day is about celebrating the Glasshouse and the vibrancy of our local community," Ms Milne said.
The Clarence Street centre has brought arts and culture to the community for a decade after its controversial beginning.
The Glasshouse community open house runs from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, August 24.
The activities include drumming workshops, gallery tours, back of house tours, forecourt dancing by the U3A Dance Group, art activities for kids, virtual reality with the Port Macquarie-Hastings Library team, make and create for adults, sit and play area for families and live performances.
A colouring in competition, for children aged between four and 10, closes on Sunday, August 25.
The winner will receive an Apple iPad Wi-Fi 32GB iPad valued at $469, second place will receive a $100 Glasshouse voucher and third place gets a $50 Glasshouse voucher.
Winners will be announced on Friday, August 30.
