Co-ordinated by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council and themed 'Meet the Makers', a group of top national and regional media titles are visiting alongside Remy, ready to meet many locals and experience their unique art, food, landscape and activity creations; all of which make Greater Port Macquarie an exciting place to visit.
With 40,000 Instagram followers, Remy has a wide-reaching, engaged audience that loves to see his work; and with a keen passion for adventure and exploration, plus impressive camera equipment to boot, Remy is aptly set to shoot spectacular scenes underwater, land or in the air. In addition to eight years creative experience as a freelance photographer and retoucher, Remy has worked as a senior content creator at one of Australia's top social media agencies.
He will impress locals and potential visitors as he takes over Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's Tourism Instagram page @portmacquarie on on Friday and Saturday (August 16-17), sharing social stories about local activities including camel riding with Port Macquarie Camel Safaris, strawberry picking at Ricardoes, chocolate and wine-tasting at Bago Vineyards, top food at Boathouse at Sails and The Stunned Mullet, and a Bush Tucker Tour at Sea Acres Rainforest. Plus he will also share snaps on his own Instagram channel instagram.com/remybrand.
"After having visited Port Macquarie a few times in the past, I know it's a beautiful region with a lot to offer visitors and I hope I'm able to do it justice through the content I create. I'm especially excited to take my photography beyond the land and capture some unique perspectives from both the air and ocean, while of course highlighting the friendly local makers in their element." Remy says.
"We are excited to welcome Remy and the wider media group here in August. The famil theme 'Meet the Makers' has allowed us to highlight many local businesses that make our region such a creative, forward-thinking, unique, and exciting destination to live, work and play in," said council group manager, Liesa Davies.
"We would like to thank all of our partners for helping us create a wonderful itinerary for Remy and all the greater writers visiting. We can't wait to see and share the beautiful content and stories they create to showcase our region to potential visitors."
