Many thanks to the Port Macquarie-Hastings councillors who voted against taking Greenmeadows Drive option off the orbital road table even when faced with hundreds of hostile residents who pay their wages.
They have subjected many elderly, frail and vulnerable ratepayers to two more years of psychological torture, stress and anguish, while those councillors play their little political party games, and waste more of our money.
We knew from the start planners had decided Greenmeadows Drive was the "easy" option, but they had not counted on the "threatened species" who live there, and how we get our backs up when you mess with our environment.
There are still a large number of residents of Dahlsford Grove Lifestyle Village who were not able to make submissions regarding the orbital road, as the council failed conveniently to notify any of the 475 residents.
Just think what council meetings will be like in two years time when those councillors should have their CVs ready to go to Centrelink.
The power of a riled-up granny or granddad should not be underestimated when a Glasshouse fiasco is waiting in the wings.
