Serina is in year eight at Hastings Secondary College Westport Campus and the competition, which was open to all primary and secondary school budding artists, was to design new artwork to be featured on the range of SOLD stickers for the company.
Serina said her winning entry was inspired by the Australian animals and decided on a cute echidna with a big nose and big eyes.
"I love visual arts and how much creativity, detail and expression you can put into an art piece," Serina said.
"I am very excited to see the sold stickers around town - it's a little bit surreal when I see my design.
"I have never had such a public artwork on display for the community to see. My mum and siblings are very proud, and I am too."
This year the theme was Australiana and Aussie icons, celebrating what is good about our great country.
The idea was inspired by the Koala trail project.
Over 260 artworks were entered this year from images of the opera house, surfers, koalas, Ned Kelly and even glorious vegemite.
The judging panel consisting of Aimee and Sarah from The Seed Creative Workshop said they had a very hard task in choosing the winning entrants.
Year 5 Tacking Point Public School student Zac Fonyodi took out the junior category.
His design was Kangaroo carrying a surfboard because you can't really get more Australian than that.
Mr Ian Ross, Principal Hastings Secondary College Westport Campus said that performing and creative arts is a focus of the campus.
"These types of programs allow our students to engage and connect with our community," Mr Ross said.
"Education is all about opportunities and this is a fantastic opportunity for students to demonstrate to the local community what they can do. With art life is so much more colourful."
David Evans, director HEM Real Estate, said he was delight at how many students took up the challenge.
"We get great satisfaction in highlighting the local student talent and think the project is a great way of showcasing how many talented artists there are within our community," Mr Evans said.
"Art is a bit forgotten in our town, we mainly focus on sport, so this project is all about promoting the creative arts in Port Macquarie.
We have loved seeing the artworks come into our office and the kids seemed so delighted to see their winning designs displayed across our town."
As well as receiving great prize bundles from local businesses, the creators of the winning designs will see their artworks printed and displayed on our signboards across Port Macquarie whenever we sell a home.
"Numerous local businesses have been involved and offered great support and we have had huge engagement from schools across the area who have encouraged the kids to create," he said.
