That's how The Hatch Road resident Stuart Redman described his feelings after the release of air quality testing results on selected sites across the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council region.
Council undertook the testing after residents raised concerns over the use of recycled crushed concrete.
The Hatch Road residents say the crushed concrete includes crystalline silica and have raised their concerns over the potential health effects that fine particles from this material might cause.
The testing occurred from February to April 2019.
Council general manager Craig Swift-McNair said crystalline silica is a naturally occurring material and is present in almost every type of rock, sand, clays and gravels.
"As concrete is made with rock aggregate and sand, it too contains crystalline silica," he said.
"The testing was undertaken by AM Enviro Services on behalf of council and unlike earlier media reports surrounding the test results, the testing found no trace of fine airborne crystalline silica particles, or asbestos at any of the locations where testing was conducted.
"There have been concerns that rain during the testing period may have impacted on the test results, however whilst our region did experience a small amount of much-needed rain over the testing period, this is considered representative of an average period across any given year."
Mr Redman said he was disappointed that the general manager was dismissive of the impact of rain on the testing process.
"Over the 10 days' testing we experienced significant rainfall on six of those days - that's 60 per cent of the testing time frame," he said.

"And the road was arguably damp from the rain for the remaining testing time as well.
"For the general manager to dismiss that is pathetic," he said.
"If the GM continues to say there is no crystalline silica as an airborne particle then there is not a lot we can do but continue to agitate."
Mr Redman said residents had independently collected a sample of the road surface and sent it to a National Association of Testing Authorities-accredited company in Sydney.
AM Enviro Director, Andrew Morris has confirmed that testing was completed in accordance with Safework NSW recommended and industry accepted, Australian Standards and guidelines, and analysed by NATA accredited laboratories.
All results reported below the limit of detection, with the exception of one sample, which detected trace levels of the heavy metal, lead.
Residents have also lodged a government information public access - freedom of information - for a copy of the final report, draft reports from the company undertaking the air quality testing, supporting documents and the scope of works.
Mr Redman said an approach to the Environmental Protection Authority was still a consideration for the residents.
Council will further investigate this finding to ensure there are no concerns for residents.

There were 11 sites on six roads that were tested for air quality.
These sites included five locations on roads with recycled crushed concrete gravels, and six locations on roads with natural quarry gravel.
Mr Swift-McNair said testing was also undertaken for other heavy metals such as lead and mercury.
"The results for heavy metals were all below the limits of detection, with the exception of a sample collected on Bril Bril Road, Rollands Plains," he said.
"This sample reported lead, in the form of inorganic dusts, at concentrations significantly below the exposure standard, but enough to be detected in the laboratory.
"Council will further investigate this finding to ensure there are no concerns for residents."
Member for Cowper Pat Conaghan has confirmed his commitment for $370,000 to be used to re-seal part of The Hatch Road that was previously sealed.
Council will consider further information in relation to this at the August 21 2019 Council meeting.
