The charge was led by cyclist Miren Davies who took out the "chairman's encouragement award" and netballer Cian Leahy who won the "Niki Taylor memorial award".
Other local award winners included Matthew Catania who received an award as most outstanding rower, Oscar Jakeman the most improved cyclist, Jesse Hiatt "most improved" surf life saver and Phailin McKibbon an "encouragement award" for basketball.
Cassidy Pieren received an "encouragement award" for netball and Miren Davies "encouragement award" for cycling.
They were chosen from the 220 athletes that have been involved in the programmes NCAS run across 10 sports over the last 12 months.
NCAS executive director Mr John Kincade said the results were a testament to the quality of sport in the Hastings Valley.
"We have had 50 athletes from the Hastings region involved in our programmes this year, led Chairman's Encouragement Award winner, Mirren Davies, whose year was highlighted by a podium finish at the state track cycling championships in Sydney in March.
"NCAS has had an outstanding year with athletes excelling at all levels of competition," Mr Kincade said.
The presentations were made at the "Academy Awards" which were attended by over 150 guests including athletes, family members, coaches, managers, committee members and sponsors, and acknowledged the multitude of efforts achieved by athletes whose programs were completed in 2018-19.
The annual awards also allowed NCAS to recognise and thank the various ClubsNSW members on the North Coast that sponsor its sport programs.
These sponsorships, which fall in line with ClubsNSW's support for regional community development helps reduce program costs and provide the quality coaching and sports education modules to its athletes.
The NCAS is a non-government and not-for-profit organisation whose goal is to identify and develop talented junior athletes throughout the North Coast region of NSW.
