Service providers, community groups and cultural activities will keep visitors busy as the fun day celebrates local Aboriginal culture, language and traditions on July 11.
The theme for NAIDOC Week 2019 is Voice Treaty Truth. Let's work together for a shared future and Janet Glover said everyone is more than welcome to attend.
"The family fun day will be a collaboration of service providers, activities, music, food and more combined into a whole day of celebrating local Indigenous culture," Ms Glover said.
"It is a chance for people to learn about the services available in the Port Macquarie-Hastings community as well as have fun and learning about our culture."
Ms Glover said NAIDOC Week itself is a chance for the whole community to pause and celebrate the community in which they live.
"To me NAIDOC is a celebration of culture and means us - the Indigenous and non Indigenous community - coming together and moving forward united," she said.
"It is also whole of community recognition for our history which I think is so important. Each year the theme reflects something we think of as important and Indigenous people having a voice in the wider community is definitely crucial.
"So come along to the fun day and see what makes our community so special and that is a sense of belonging and a connection to the past and the place where we live."
The family fun day will begin at 10am at the Port Macquarie Racecourse with live music, stalls and entertainment going all day.
