Lake Cathie Amateur Fishing Club president Melissa Donchi said some fishos only had three hours sleep in an effort to support the event's cause.
All proceeds from the day are donated to the Lake Cathie Rural Fire Service and Camden Haven Marine Rescue.
Kate Shelton landed a 14 kilogram bass groper off the coast of Port Macquarie.
She battled rough conditions on the water to pull the massive fish into the boat.
Melissa thanked all the local businesses who donated prizes for the event and the community members who turned out on the day.
"Every year this event gets bigger," she said.
"It's a great fundraiser to help support our local volunteer services."
The event attracted many families as there was a jumping castle for the children, a sausage sizzle, raffles and entertainment.
About 250 fishos participated and caught a variety of species including bream, flathead, snapper, jewfish, blackfish, whiting, tailor, leather jacket and pearl perch.
