IT was easier to jot down who didn't score tries rather than who did as Hastings Valley annihilated Kempsey 141-7 at Oxley Oval on Saturday.
The Vikings led 75-7 at the break before they went on with the job in the second half in their most complete performance of the season.
After being disappointed with various aspects of their matches throughout their 2019 campaign so far, coach Andrew Kable was full of praise for his side.
"What we were really happy with was that we played to our structures and to our game plan for a good 85 to 90 per cent of the game," he said.
"We're trying to build and maintain our focus for the entire game, so that was a positive.
"The other thing we can take away from the game is we were able to trial all of our plays and our backs had a great day."
Twelve of the Vikings starting 15 managed to get across the line, with only Tom Woods, Jackson White and Hamish McCormack not managing to claim five-pointers.
"We were asking them about perhaps doing the nudie run," Kable said.
"It was a game where everything just clicked and everything turned to gold."
Hastings Valley were ruthless in the second half and Kable was pleased they kept the performance going although it was difficult to remain focused.
"We spoke about that at halftime and to Kempsey's credit they never turned it up; they kept having a go."
Kable also acknowledged the Cannonballs were under-strength with a number of their players making first grade debuts.
On a day where every Vikings player contributed, it was difficult to single out players although Kenny Anderson, Sam Browning and Dan Willoughby were strong.
While the Vikings now have one foot in the major semi-final, their main focus was on finishing the season strong.
"We're focusing on the minor premiership," Kable said.
"We still have four games to go until the finals, but we haven't spoken about that (finals) yet."
