Crews were training and assessing new crew members around 11am on Thursday, June 13 when they were called to retrieve two men and a vessel experiencing difficulties near Point Plomer.
Marine Rescue Port Macquarie unit commander Greg Davies said two people were rescued unharmed after a small craft was affected by electrical problems.
"Initially we did have trouble finding them because they were unsure of their position," he said.
"When they were located they had drifted south about three or four kilometres.
"Battery and fuel issues are one of the most common problems we encounter when rescuing boats.
"They were two very happy customers to see us."
