They keep getting better with age.
Mark Goodsall, Matt Rulis, Greg Gleeson, Brad Degenaars, Peter Gleeson, Steve Van Gemert, Deon Glassie and Greg Smith were at it again as they contributed to Country's 3-0 series win over City at Tuggerah on Saturday.
Degenaars skippered the side as they registered a 7-0, 4-1 and 4-2 win in the three games.
"(City) probably weren't in the groove in the first game, but the second and third game they were quite tough struggles," he said.
"The first game was where all our combinations clicked straight away and we hit the ground running so we got over them pretty well."
He admitted playing for many years with the same group of players continued to help with combinations in various representative teams.
"We've been playing together for a while, but we know what we need to do," he said.
"Guys don't turn up underdone, they just put a bit of effort in with training.
"It's the same guys week in, week out that put in so they get the rewards."
Greg Smith was voted players player over the three-game series.
"No one blew everyone away and we thought 'where's he been hiding'," Degenaars said.
"Typically Greg scored a lot of tries and ended up players player, so it's always good to be voted by your peers.
"It's a pretty good indication of where we're sitting amongst the group."
Degenaars said it was also pleasing for Port Macquarie to have such a strong representation across some of the other divisions.
"Now it's starting to rub off on the ladies who are starting to get players in representative sides so it's been good as a club for our little area," he said.
"The amount of people we've now got to select from is another level."
Port Macquarie were represented in the men's 35's with Gil Hopley, Chris Young and Josh Mann.
Laura Cudmore, Claire Thurlow, Mandy McKinnon, Di Lawrence, Courtney Buckley, Shelley Laing Shelley Sprague, Raquel Lievore all represented the women's 27s.
Anna Cloake (senior mixed) and Elia Glassie (men's 20s) also represented Country in their respective divisions.
