The festival kicked off on Friday and culminated with the awards presentation on Sunday afternoon.
Organising committee member Sarah Rowsell described the festival - and the response from the public - as 'amazing'.
She said any one of the final nine plays which formed the festival could have received an award.
"I think we had such a wide ranging calibre of performances that any one of them could have taken out one of our major awards," she said.
"The major gong, for best production, went to Time Flies, which was a comedy.
"Overall, the festival certainly created a strong sense of community and real passion for production.
"Everyone from the front office staff, to be back crew, the committee, the performers and the audience all contributed to a real sense of collegiality."
Time Flies was written by David Ives and directed by Howard Oxley.
The 25 minute comedy featured actors Cathy Devries, Mark Calwell and Howard Oxley.
Performers from Lithgow, Wyong and Ipswich participated in the festival alongside five productions from the Port Macquarie-Hastings.
Ms Rowsell praised the level of passion that was shown on stage throughout the festival.
"The success of the festival comes down to the amount of time that people were willing to put into their productions," she added.
Adjudicator Mark Lucas presented the one act play festival awards on Sunday.
The encouragement award went to Fay Blundell who wrote and featured in An Incongruent Interrogation.
The community award went to Andrew (Si) Townsend for his one act play, War Stories. He also featured on stage in the production.
The adjudicator's award went to 16-year-old Beth McGovern for her performance as Claire in Classic Claustrophobia.
The Terry Gould OAM Memorial award for best unpublished script went to Jordan Frith for Tales from Overmorrow.
The best actor male award was presented to Matt McDonald-Kearns for Tales from Overmorrow while best actor female award went to Tayla Dures also for Tales from Overmorrow.
Best director went to Howard Oxley for Time Flies.
The Players Theatre will host the one act play festival in 2021.
