Hundreds of roller skate wheels were spinning as some of the Mid North Coast's best roller derby players strapped on their skates.
Port Macquarie Roller Derby League hosted the annual "Sibling Rivalry" game against its sister league, Coffs Coast Derby at the Wauchope Indoor Stadium.
Each year the two teams meet to battle it out for the trophy and more importantly, bragging rights.
Last year Coffs Coast Derby won the close game in the last few minutes after Port Macquarie was leading for most of the game.
Port Macquarie's "Breakwall Brawlers" have been training hard for months and were looking forward to their first representative game of the year, but also were hoping to make up for last year's tight loss.
Both teams came out strong and fought hard.
The half time score board showed a tight game, with the "Breakwall Brawlers" at 64 points and Coffs Coast Derby's "Daughters of Mayhem" with 55.
In the second half the Brawlers managed to stay strong and came out with a strong win, the final score being 184-98.
Port Macquarie Roller Derby League is so grateful for all its friends that came to help make the game a success, especially to Coffs Coast Derby for joining us for a challenging and enjoyable game.
The league is always looking for new members, and you don't need to be able to skate.
