Australia finished fourth in Ryley Batt's return after an eight-month layoff in Alabama, but the recently turned 30-year-old wasn't too concerned about the result.
He was more disappointed about what happened off the court rather than what happened on it.
"I was more disappointed I turned 30 in the back dorm rooms in Alabama," he said.
"Having to play a game just as you turn 30 when you should be out partying with your friends ... that was my only disappointment."
In the Steelers' first competitive hit out since their world championship final loss to Japan last August, they finished with a respectable three-win, three-loss record.
Only for and against separated them, Japan, Great Britain and the United States in the competition before the US eventually won the final.
"We knew we were going to struggle to match up against these teams because all the teams are so bloody close," Batt said.
"We targeted games we wanted to win and other games we threw newer players on, so during the pool games every team finished with a three win and three loss record.
"We missed out on going to the final on a couple of points in for and against that's how tight it was."
It was their next step on the path to the World Cup in Japan at the end of the year before they hope to be at their best for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
"No one remembers who wins Four Nations, but everyone remembers who wins a paralympics so that's what we want to do," Batt said.
"Tokyo 2020 is our vision.
"There are going to be a lot of people retiring after Tokyo, not only from Australia but the world because it's been one of those cycles.
"It's going to be all or nothing and we want to put on a show."
