A highly-respected stalwart of the country music industry, Hannah died suddenly on Tuesday and Urquhart has penned an emotional tribute.

"Today we say goodbye to my darling Glen," she said. "The saddest day of my life, broken beyond words and not sure how to do this alone.

"He touched so many lives in the most incredible way and now lives on in our beautiful girls.

"Thank you for all the love and support from our dearest friends and family."

Named Musician of the Year in 2017 at Tamworth's Golden Guitar Awards, Hannah touched hundreds of albums and even more lives in the country music industry.

He leaves behind his wife Felicity Urquhart and two daughters Tia and Ellie.

One of his last legacies is his work on Urquhart's latest album Frozen Rabbit, Urquhart recently told the Leader that he had guided her back in to her first album in a decade.

"Glen and I knew it was the right time to get back into it, our direction and sensibility together, musically we are on the same page," Urquhart said.

"We have nothing to prove to anyone."

As a musician and producer Hannah worked with so many artists in the industry and helped craft some of the most revered and award-winning albums in country music.

Hundreds of people who knew Hannah took to social media to share tributes on Wednesday.

"We love you beyond words Fliss. Sending you all our love xxx," Tamworth artist Aleyce Simmonds wrote.

Amber Lawrence said her and her family would be praying for Urquhart.

"I'm heartbroken for you and your girls, and forever grateful for the magic Glen brought to us all in music and life," she said.

Chad Morgan wrote an emotional tribute to Urquhart and her family.

"I feel for you my little mate I know what you are going through, it never goes away but it does get a little easier with time. Just concentrate on heaping love on your beautiful babies and they will help you, and don't forget you have a friend for ever here," he said.
