A PIERCER who allegedly sexually abused a teenage girl he met on social media has been denied bail in Armidale Local Court.

James McKenzie, 35, was handed a five-year AVO and ordered to stay away from the victim by Magistrate Michael Holmes on Friday, May 24.
"The defendant had failed to show to the court that there was a cause not to detain him," he said.
Police claim the man offered the girl money and drugs in exchange for sexual intercourse.
McKenzie, formerly of Port Macquarie, is charged with seven offences after reports a 15-year-old girl had been sexually abused.
Officers arrested the man on Thursday, May 23 and executed a search warrant where drug paraphernalia and electronic storage devices were seized.
It's alleged the man met the teenage girl on social media in March. He was charged with perform body piercing on any part of the nipples of a child, procure child for unlawful sexual activity, produce child abuse material, intentionally sexually touch child and three counts of aggravated sexual assault.
The matter was adjourned until June 5.
