The mass will be held on Wednesday, May 22 from 4pm at St Agnes' Church, Hay Street.
This year's theme for National Volunteers Week is 'Making a world of difference', which recognises the incredible effect volunteers have in our communities through giving just a little of their time.
Adam Spencer, Chief Executive Officer for St Agnes' Parish expressed his gratitude to the many people who volunteer their time and energy to help with various Parish ministries in aged care, education, social support, family services, welfare, hospitality, youth and pastoral services.
"As a Catholic not for profit organisation, volunteering means so much more than simply giving your time and skills, it is Christ working through the human spirit for the love and good of others," Mr Spencer said.
"For us, National Volunteer Week is an important opportunity to celebrate the wonderful contribution volunteers make to St Agnes' Parish and, indeed across the whole Hastings community.
"The hard work and dedication of volunteers impacts the lives of so many and it is fitting that we honour their commitment in some way.
"Everyone is welcome to join our Parish community in celebrating national volunteers week at Mass on Wednesday afternoon."
St Agnes' Parish is, also, hosting a Ministry Weekend on May 25-26 through which people register their interest in being involved in a wide variety of volunteering opportunities with the Parish and its service areas, such as visiting the elderly or helping out at the youth hub or a school canteen.
