Over the last year Beric has spent a lot of his time exploring nature and humans connection to the past and the future but said heading to Venice is exhibiting on a whole new level.
"A little while ago I tried to connect with American artist Mary Patrica Warming about an exhibition she was doing for Science Week 2018 but didn't hear anything so forgot all about it," Beric said.
"Her work is all about science and the environment and as a former scientist before I moved to being an artist it really connected with me.
"Then out of the blue back in March she got in touch about potentially being part of an exhibition she was organising at the Venice Biennale.
"From there we decided to do recreation of Family Tree (2018) which is smaller and more easily transported to Venice."
Beric said the exhibition has artists from all over the world coming together and it will be on display in the Italian city for two months.
"The exhibition is called Equilibrium and is about global warming and coming up with solutions while reclaiming paradise," he said.
"In the show there are 18 artists from all over the world coming together and it will be exciting to come together as a group.
"Going to Venice is a great opportunity for me to network and get my work seen in such a large scale but the exhibition itself is so wonderful and as a scientist I feel really connected with it.
"My specific pieces are about positively showing there is still good in humans and that we do have a close connection to our environment."
The Biennale exhibition opens on June 1 and will run for two months.
