Camden Haven High School student Nash Wilkes has made history after smashing a NSW All Schools record for the 17-year-old 50 metre breaststroke event.

Nash qualified for three events at the NSW All Schools Swimming Championships at Homebush on Monday, May 13.
Nash's dad Darren said in the 50 metre breaststroke event his son 'swam the race of his life' to smash the previous record which had stood for five years. Nash's time was 29.40 seconds.
Nash also came third in the 17-year-old 200 metre breaststroke, after a very close finish between the leaders.
Nash secured the gold medal for the 17-year-old 100m breaststroke.
Darren said his son will represent NSW at the 2019 School Sports Australia Swimming Championships at Melbourne in July.
"Nash's hard work in the pool and gym is paying great dividends," he said.
Nash thanked staff from the distance education program at Camden Haven High School.
Bailey Whitton is another Camden Haven High School student who will also represent NSW at the upcoming 2019 School Sports Australia Swimming Championships in Melbourne.
The 13-year-old competed in four events at the NSW All Schools Swimming Championships. He achieved a gold for 50m freestyle, gold for 50m butterfly, silver for 100m freestyle and fourth for the 50m breaststroke.
