The honour was presented during a Rotary eClub of District 9650 function to recognise leaders in the emergency services.
The recognition acknowledged Superintendent Fehon's outstanding work ethic and his determination to uphold law and order as a senior police leader.
Nine leaders of local emergency services received Rotary emergency services leaders excellence awards on Saturday, May 11 as 60 patrons watched on.
The leaders were presented with certificates in recognition of their dedication and work ethic.
Rotary eClub of District 9650 president and past district governor John Barwick and his wife Dorothy travelled from Tamworth to make the presentations.
Rotary emergency services leaders excellence awards went to Superintendent Paul Fehon, Detective Inspector Kim Fehon and manager Roslyn Lang from the Mid North Coast Police District, Superintendent Kam Baker from the NSW Rural Fire Service, leading station officer Gaven Muller from NSW Fire and Rescue, Inspector Josh Smyth and zone manager Damian Hughes from the NSW Ambulance, and Commander Paul Burg and deputy zone manager Andrew Day from the SES.
Mayor Peta Pinson congratulated all recipients after the presentations.
The big surprise for the evening was the presentation of a Paul Harris Fellow recognition to Superintendent Fehon.
Superintendent Fehon said it was a wonderful surprise to receive the prestigious honour.
"I'm humbled by the award because there are many officers, day in, day out, protecting the community," he said.
Superintendent Fehon said it was wonderful to share the recognition of the emergency services leaders awards with colleagues from Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW State Emergency Service.
"Together we all have a very close working relationship, along with all our staff and many volunteers from other agencies, and a common purpose in wanting to ensure the safety of the community across the Mid-North Coast, particularly in times of need or emergencies," he said.
Emcee for the night was the club's vice-president, past district governor Barry Hacker.
Mr Hacker said he was thrilled with the number of attendees and expressed how the Rotary club was excited to be able to present the certificates, and in particular, present a Paul Harris Fellow recognition.
Members the eClub meet online every second and fourth Thursday evening at 7 o'clock from the comfort of their own homes.
