Members gathered at the club house on Saturday night, May 11 starting the evening with a brilliant sunset over the river followed by a wonderful Crackle & Spit dinner, the presentation of trophies and awards, then some great deserts and yarns.
The club championship point score for the catamarans was won on yardstick by Frank O'Rourke ahead of Tony Kuhn and Jack Corthals.
Rob Barwick was the handicap winner over Dave Winter.
The club championship point score for the monohulls was won on yardstick by Martina Holt over Terry Howard and Simon Gandy. Steve Bohlsen and Ed Molony won on handicap.
The spring series point score for the catamarans was won on yardstick by Jack Corthals followed by Frank O'Rourke and Tony Kuhn. Rob Barwick won on handicap.
The spring series point score for the monohulls was won on yardstick by Steve Bohlsen and Ed Molony ahead of Jane Cooper and Simon Gandy. Stuart Symons was the handicap winner.
The summer series point score for the catamarans was won on yardstick by Frank O'Rourke followed by Dave Winter and Rob Barwick. Tony Kuhn won on handicap.
The summer series point score for the monohulls was won on yardstick by Martina Holt followed by Simon Gandy and Steve Bohlsen and Ed Molony. Stuart Symons won on handicap over Steve Couch and Roger Shipton.
The sprint series point score for the catamarans was won on yardstick by Tony Kuhn over Dave Winter and Frank O'Rourke.
The sprint series point score for the monohulls was won on yardstick by Martina Holt ahead of Jane Cooper and Steve Bohlsen and Ed Molony.
The handicap start series point score for the catamarans was won on a count back by Rob Barwick over Tony Kuhn.
The handicap start series point score for the monohulls was won by Martina Holt.
The Ted Kuhn Cup saw Tony Kuhn take the win in the open cat division, Terry Howard won the single handed monohulls, Simon Gandy and James Shaw won the two handed monohulls.
Steve Bohlsen and Ed Molony won the two handed monohulls with spinnaker.
The spring 'Cock of the River' marathon was won by Frank O'Rourke, and so was the summer 'Harold Dick memorial' marathon.
The mixed fleet racing for the Easter Cup saw the monohulls dominate on yardstick, with Martina Holt taking the win ahead of Roger Shipton and Terry Howard.
The Junior division was won by Elsa Gandy and Isla Smith over Caitlin Hicks and Liam Halmi.
There were then a number of other awards presented with the most improved monohull sailor won by Steve Couch, the best woman sailor was Martina Holt and the senior encouragement award went to Jane Cooper.
Best junior female was Elsa Gandy, most promising junior female was Isla Smith and most promising junior male was Liam Halmi.
The most improved novice crew was Bridgette Taylor, and the most improved junior was Caitlin Hicks. Club supporter awards were presented to Norman Broomhall, Andrew Richards, and Ron Apps.
The Club person of the year was Simon Gandy, especially for his work with the juniors.
Everyone now has a chance to catch up on all the things they put off during the sailing season, with only the AGM next month and a working bee at the club the week before the next season starts on September 1.
