The Bright Night Fun Run on May 3 brought fluoro fun runners together in a sea of colour for the start of the 2019 Ironman Australia program.
The community-based event is a fundraiser with all the proceeds donated back to local community groups.
A conga line, pre-race games and dancing kicked off the event on the Town Green before the mad sprint, slow jog or amble to claim the honour of crossing the Ironman finish line.
The IronKids race follows on Town Green on Saturday, May 4 at 9am before the main event on Sunday, with Ironman and 70.3 competitors hitting the Hastings River at 6.15am at Westport Park.
