Long-term Wauchope resident Lyndell Stone said it had been a "wonderful, great local event."
"The weather is beautiful, the ring events have been great, it has been lovely to see the riders, the whole day has been beautiful."
Ms Stone said coming to the show brings back memories.
"I have been here on and off since I was a kid."
Wauchope Show President Neil Coombes said crowd numbers have been up.
"Everybody has loved it so far."
Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie announced a 30.9 million dollar package of initiatives for agricultural shows while attending the Wauchope Show.
The package includes a $20 million dollar Regional Agricultural Show Development Grants Program and $10 million dollars to take city kids to farms so Australians children see how agricultural products get from paddock to plate.
The only dampener on the day was an accident in the late morning when a young girl was injured by a horse while competing.
It took over an hour for ambulance to get to the Wauchope showground with the ambulance coming from Taree.
Oxley MP Melinda Pavey said she would be seeking answers on the delay.
"Understandably there is a concern for such a big event that there wasn't an ambulance in town," Ms Pavey said.
"I will be seeking information from the Health Minister Brad Hazzard.
"I understand there were eight ambulances working in the Port Macquarie/Wauchope area and I'm not sure what priorties were given but the community deserves answers and I will work towards getting that."
It is understood the girl was not seriously injured.
