A development application been been approved for alterations, additions and a change of use to specialised retail at 215 Lake Road.
The building's new direction comes after Bunnings Warehouse relocated to John Oxley Drive.
The changes at the Lake Road site will involve internal tenancy subdivision to create five tenancies; internal alterations; demolition of the nursery canopy, columns and gates; demolition of walls, gates and roof of the enclosed playground; and external facade works.
The car parking will be reconfigured to 205 parking spaces, up from 137 spaces.
The project has an estimated cost of $4.18 million.
The development application went before Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's Development Assessment Panel on April 10.
The panel approved the application subject to the recommended conditions, while a new condition about lighting was added and another condition about lighting was amended.
