The 2018/19 summer was the hottest on record.
Port Macquarie also got a mention with the hottest/driest summer on record.
I've lived in the Port Macquarie-Hastings area for some 35 years and can honestly say I've never experienced a summer like it.
I also note that our previous prime minister Tony Abbott has now reversed his call for Australia to abandon the Paris Agreement on tackling climate change.
He has either finally seen the light on climate change or he is not telling the truth like he did prior to the 2013 federal election in order to regain his seat and see the coalition re-elected.
