People living with Parkinson's Disease and supporters walked from Westport Park to the Port Macquarie CWA rooms and back on Thursday, April 11.
Parkinson's is a progressive, degenerative condition of the central nervous system.
Its causes are unknown and a cure has not yet been found.
The Port Macquarie Parkinson's Support Group organised the walk.
The support group's president, Gregg Faulkner, said the walk drew attention to Parkinson's Disease and drew attention to the support group.
He said the event also collected funds for Parkinson's NSW as a lot of the walkers were sponsored.
The Hastings District Highland Pipe Band led the walkers from Westport Park.
Port Macquarie resident Sue Dix, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2014, took part in the walk.
Mrs Dix has found exercise really helps and she includes a morning walk and taking part in an exercise group as part of her exercise routine.
Meanwhile, a morning tea at the National Australia Bank Port Macquarie also marked World Parkinson's Day.
