The planned landscape and wildlife showcase will display some of the region's most incredible photographs taken by snappers Brenda Sarno, Cherie Morton and Linda Appleby on April 13.
The three renown locals each represent different photography clubs in the area including Hastings Photography, Port Macquarie Panthers Photographic and Aperture Photography Groups.
Ms Morton said the different groups often kept to themselves.
"I think we're paving the way to combining the three groups," she said.
"The pool of photography creativity in Port Macquarie is huge.
"It's an untapped resource of arts."
Ms Sarno said each photographer brought something new to the exhibition in a similar vein of landscapes and wildlife.
"We're all Port Macquarie locals and although our pieces are similar, they are from different perspectives," she said.
"I came into it as a hobby, doing more landscapes and wildlife."
The Port Macquarie photographers have been refining their craft for decades with Sarno and Morton first discovering cameras as a hobby in the 1980's.
Ms Morton said the exhibition would try for an informal and relaxed feel.
"Many of the photos are the amazing things we see every day but don't usually notice," she said.
"There will also be a digital mixed media piece at the display.
"It's yet to be confirmed but there could be as many as 25 to 30 pieces and other gift items."
The opening at Sunset Framing & Gallery in Central Road is entitled 'A Trio of Perspectives' will be on display from April 13 to April 26, 8.30am to 5pm.
