Weatherzone's Graeme Brittain said as we start to transition out of the summer heat cooler days and rain will become more frequent.
"There is a high chance of showers across the Port Macquarie region for most of the day and tomorrow," Mr Brittain said.
"They will be limited to the coast on Monday and then more rain is expected inland. There is the potential to get up to 20mm.
"We are expecting a top of 25 degrees today and similar temperatures for the rest of the week."
Mr Brittain said Sunday's overnight low of 16 degrees will be the coldest of the week.
"Compared to the average overnight lows will be 2-3 degrees warmer than usual this week," he said.
"As we move towards the middle of the week the likelihood of showers drops but the cooler temperatures will stick around.
"Temperatures in the mid 20s will be here for a while now."
