New recruit Susan Shaw is one of the many dedicated volunteers set to welcome local residents and visitors for guided tours of the facility from 10am to noon.
The event runs from 9.30am to 1.30pm on Saturday, March 30 with cake cutting at 12.30pm.
"Whether it's vertical rescue or flood rescue there's always something to do when you walk through those doors," said Ms Shaw who has been a volunteer for about two months.
"There isn't anything SES doesn't do if someone needs help.
"We're there to help."
The SES are known for their 24 hour emergency and rescue service which supports communities in flood, storm, search, tsunami and other events.
"I think people will be surprised what training we do have," said the retired nurse from Central Coast.
"I like it all, it gets you thinking and moving.
"I like the people, the mixture of people, age groups and backgrounds."
Local volunteers will be joined by mascot Paddy Platypus and a number of interactive displays including vertical rescue, storm and water display, flood boat and operations displays.
There will also be a mock Road Crash Rescue which the public are invited to participate in using rescue tools.
