Bringing together young people from all walks of life who have a passion for gaming, book and movie characters, it is a chance to hang out, share ideas and celebrate their shared interests.
Lucilla Marshall, Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's group manager of community place, said the cosplay event at the library is one of the most anticipated youth events each year.
"We are very excited to announce the cosplay day is on again during Youth Week 2019," Ms Marshall said.
"We find young people always come with great costumes and we usually have over 100 people come dressed up to take part in the fun."
This year the event will take place on Sunday, April 14 at the Port Macquarie Library from 12pm with the parade at 1pm.
The theme for 2019 is 'Your favourite book character' but organisers say that is just a guide for people struggling to make up their minds.

Ms Marshall said on the day there will be a variety of activities young people can take part in.
"We will have a best dressed competition as well as the much loved parade," she said.
"We will will also have a manga artist come and hold workshops for young people to take part in and the work they create will then go on display at the library.
"We get a real variety of young people coming dressed up because cosplay can appeal to so many. It is a chance for young people to explore their creative side and use their imagination just for a little while."
She said there will also be food, face painting, craft and games for people to take part in.
