She made the announcement about 8.30pm on NSW election night (March 23) before a crowd of supporters.
"What an awesome day we have had," Mrs Williams said.
"We were considered really a pretty safe seat in Port Macquarie, let's face it.
"We had a 19 per cent buffer, so we were in a pretty good place, but let me tell you what we did today.
"We went out on the polling booths and we did what National Party members always do - we showed that we never, ever take anything for granted."
Mrs Williams congratulated her volunteers.
"The only way not only do we win seats like Port Macquarie, but the way we win seats right across every regional area and every Liberal seat in metropolitan areas, is that we all band together as a team," she said.
"That's how we do it, that's how we will continue to do it and that is how we are going to continue to govern and make sure that NSW stays number one."
Mrs Williams has been the Port Macquarie MP since 2011.
